My son got me Dragy for my b'day (great device!) and we went out to try it again yesterday, after trying it several times a few days ago.
I managed a 4.92 0-60 in my '18 DCT M2. There was wheel spin, and the car did fishtail right at the start, so I'm sure we can do better, but that's a long way off from the 4.1 seconds that magazine's report!
Hey... launch control was a BLAST, and I'm not racing anyone for pink slips at the stoplight, but I still wonder how it can be so far off from what BMW and reviewers have reported!
We tried to do a 2nd launch control, but the M2 wouldn't let us... I had forgotten that you need to drive something like 3, 4 miles after using Launch Control, before you can use it again. By the time we could have used LC again, we weren't in an area where it was safe.
Any of you have dragy and care to share your 0-60 times?
I'll have to try it using different RPS's at launch, and see if perhaps a slower RPM will eliminate wheel spin/sliding, and produce better times...
