It does (according to the few who have driven both) get you to stock M3/4 numbers which by most accounts, is quite fast.

Makes sense. The actual difference between my discounted Euro Delivery 16 M3 and MSRP 17 M2 was only 5k (both purchased new). With a 6K Dinan package my M2 would have actually cost more than my M3. I have to say at the same price (even with 425 hp on the M2) it's kind of nuts to choose the F87 over F80. It was a hard enough pill to swallow for me with a 5K difference.
