They don't do anything other than change the fluids for the M2. If they reprogrammed your car most likely all of the "learned" fuel trim and timing advance parameters were reset. That's the "extra" power you are feeling while the car re-learns. These cars constantly adjust based on driving style and environmental factors (temp) but always start with a default.
