Personally, I couldn't care less as long as they actually offer a 6MT. Pickings are getting slim these days for those of us who still prefer it. The fact that they even offer one is one of the main reasons I am a BMW customer.
In fairness to enthusiasts of all types, the car needs to have both 6MT and DCT (the regular automatic, good as it is, simply is not sufficient for an M car).
