Well my M235i makes 415hp on the dyno and I've only spent 1200 dollars for the upgrades. That's not incremental to me and its not too expensive. Turbo upgrades are also cheap compared to the S55 engine but as Stefan said, it was mostly in comparison to NA M engines.
