I got the same device as F87luv. It is the automatic car tracking adapter. It plugs into your OBD-II port. Definitely gives me peace of mind when I drop off my car for service etc. It notifies you whenever the car is started and parked. You can also track it in real time. It also shows hard accelerations and hard braking.
The OBD 2 port is accessed during service all they have to do is remove it until they are done monkeying around
