I was just in Germany for a few weeks and it's amazing how many E8x 1-series you see driving around, except the coupe was never sold there except in convertible form. All the rest are hatchbacks, which if you like a hot hatch, are really quite good-looking.

Thats not true. I had an E82 135i Coupe that I bought in Germany. Its less common than the hatchback but there are many E82 coupes there
