Two twin-scroll turbos would not work on an inline 6. With the N55, three cylinders feed one scroll, and the other three cylinders feed the second scroll. With two twin-scrolls, you would somehow be piping 6 cylinders into four scrolls which obviously is not ideal. You could potentially have three twin-scroll turbos with an I6 though, with each cylinder feeding its own scroll.
