Sit in normal driving position. Adjust both mirrors so that the lines on the road transects the the outer lower corner or each mirror.
Best place to do this is when parked in a parking lot.
Gives the same result without moving your head.
EDIT: corrected diagram. red circles are based off of memory and approximate position. Point is you want that line to transect the mirror not that exact spot.
