DCT in sport mode revs to 7k before changing, that wouldn't happen if they thought it wasnt good for the car.

Its fine to do it under normal circumstances. They just don't want you banging off the rev limiter every time you shift for the first 1200 miles.

Keep in mind they also datalog everything during the break in period.
