The LCI should be due this year.
MY2018 = Around Summer the previous year
If BMW decides to change engine it will most likely be with its LCI which is put on the market around July this year.
There's also the M2 CS version with supposedly a detuned version of the s55 (m3/m4) engine coming in MY2019 (Summer 2018)
