That's the message we're getting from M GmbH.
If it's from making the suspension, engine, roof/hood and other compenents lighter then yes it absolutely will happen; but when I hear it worded as "weight stripping" what comes to mind is the removal of parts that would otherwise be there on the normal 2 series like sound insulation. I just don't think that will happen.
