BMW club racing classes escalate as follows:

Stock
Prepared
Modified
Super modified - (includes former pro cars)

The list of things that can be done in Mod is so long it's easier to attach the rules book if you are so inclined.
Thanks for this helpful and basic breakdown for the viewers of this thread ! I like the way you describe the modified rules which is basically “the sum of modifications allowed in stock + prepared , then do whatever you want and oh how big is your engine because that’s all that matters “ lol

That being said , B mod because even though it is only a 3L motor , turbo/supercharged engines require you to Be classified at 150% of your displacement , which puts me outside of the ever popular C MOD.

To everyone asking “why don’t you just buy an M235iR” I have a few things to say ?

1) what fun is just buying a race ready car ? I take great pride in building something up , and doing so allows infinite possibility to make it exactly as you want!

2) I have piloted both an M235iR and a stock m2 on track and to be totally honest I feel the M2 definitely has a more thoroughbred pedigree. It’s also equipped with DCT vs the ZF 8 speed automatic which is nice , and well let’s be honest the M235iR bolt on fender flares are an abortion !

Basically , we have already seen the M235iR, know what it’s capable of ,
And it runs to a very tight set of rules .

I don’t like rules .....
