Press the dealer to get it fixed. The issue also happens on the M3/M4. Tell them to contact BMW NA for assistance. They are finally admitting there is a problem. The more people that complain, the faster the issue will get fixed. I'm going on 2 months without my M3 getting fixed now and I work at a dealership.
