Here in NZ compliance is very tough and if suspension is changed and not factory there is a risk that the a special inspection and 'authority card' could be required. For a daily driver this is a hassle as it requires renewal every year. It also costs $ for the renewal. Not worth the risk in my thinking so with the MP suspension tuned and tested by BMW M team and manufactured by KW, I thought just go with that. A second factor was availability - ready to go at delivery, and third - price, - was able to negotiate a discount on the part and installation (but not the car). Lastly warranty.
It is a passive system just like the factory stock suspension. 2 way, compression and rebound as well as height adjustable but all manual.
