I've noticed that when i'm in sport + and floor it and then let go of the throttle and hit the traction/MDM button, the pops and bangs are enormous, but only if i've just floored it to 3500ish rpm in sport + and then changed to MDM.
It takes very specific conditions to make certain sounds.
The more you play with the throttle and the "maps" then more things you discover and you will begin to learn how to make the noises you want on demand.
