Damn, I didn't read down far enough about the use of thread under the gear selector sticker to pull it off.
I call BS on the use of a plastic prybar tool to get it off. There is no way plastic could loosen it. I used a butter knife and of course it slightly damaged the old 1. But the carbon is on there to stay so who cares.
