Upon seeing this M2 video my mind sweetly drifted away to the short movie "C'était Un Rendez-Vous" ("It Was A Date") filmed by Claude Lelouch on a quiet Sunday morning in August 1976 in Paris: no dialogue, just the car speaking for itself in an insane way. Cult movie for petrol heads. Man, that sound - though clearly dubbed (the car moves slower than the dramatic engine sound suggests) - is outright *glorious*. Back in the day, the movie got the film producer into hot water with the French authorities for obvious reasons (see
here).
