BMW are too sterile and nearly everything in BMW's portfolio is soulless.. and meant for commoners! (LCD). They have seem to lost their dna, or heritage of driver's car.. too many nannies, etc.

Does it bother anyone, that BMW is not racing any new cars..? Why no 2-series in any events? Just drift videos..?
Exactly. BMW needs to go back to basics and produce a lightweight car to compete with a Lotus, but until then it's the M2 or bust for me. I'm going elsewhere if it doesn't have what I think the car should have...specifically:

* cloth seating (option)
* manual seats (option)
* moonroof delete (option)

Taken together that's probably 100+ pounds of weight savings right there.

I also want fixed damipers as an option because I don't want to pay to replace the electronic ones in 100K miles. If the Cayman can come with fixed dampers, the M2 should also.
