Mechanically solid car.

Like anything, 911 included, rattles and pops and creaks may or may not appear and can come and go with the weather. These noises are associated with the A-pillar, windshield, front passenger seat, and front suspension. All separate issues that appear randomly across mileage intervals, or not at all. TSBs exist for some, but not all of those.

If you experience stones or debris stuck in between the rear brake dust shields and the rear rotors you’ll think your new toy deposited the rear muffler on the street, but will have been officially welcomed into the F chassis M2/M3/M4 owners club. Easily addressed by either bending the dust shields or swapping to the updated dust shields.

Long term owners are advised to monitor for Oil Filter Housing Gasket leaks and electronic water pump failure but neither are repairs that a qualified independent can’t handle for a reasonable price.

Buy any F87 M2 with confidence assuming you’re looking out for the same things you would buying any other used sports car.

Several high mileage owners post from time to time sharing trouble free experiences. I’ve put 11k of the 12k on mine, and plan to enjoy another 75k at least. Good luck on your hunt.
