A 4-6 year old E92 M3 might be less expensive to buy but everything else is a lot more expensive. Insurance, maintenance, no warranty (ie, more expensive if/when it breaks down. Which it eventually will because it's old.), fuel...

With interest rates being so low it makes the finance cheap so a few more thousand dollars won't affect much on the total cost of ownership.


I dare to say that an M2 is actually cheaper and less risky to drive than an old M3. For sure here in Sweden. Maybe also in the US? Don't know your insurance fees and your fuel costs are a lot lower...
