There was a short in pre-LCI tail lights after the initial production, due to the ground wire. So BMW added the two ground wires, harness, and different tail light covers on 2016 MY and beyond.
Since this issue was resolved when they revised the tail light designed on the LCI, the extra ground wires was not needed. |
