If BMW does this M2 right (keep the weight down) than they have me as a customer again.

Also they should make this M2 raw. Who cares about park distance control, navi, etc. Okay maybe just keep Navi because lots of people would whine this car does not have a Navi. But keep all the radar lane detection, radar cruise, out of this car!

Oh yeah, and keep this car manual only! I will be buying a manual for this car. I have a 2 year old son and he would love watching me shift through the gears. When he gets older I will probably teach him how to shift the gears while sitting in the passenger seat. My dad did that with me and it was an awesome memorable experience.

Sometimes more simple = better!

As I stated before this new M2 is going to be the "new" M3 of today. The current M3/M4 now seem to have grown in size, price, and luxury amenities. I strongly believe anyone that was a pure M3 lover from 10 years back will want to buy the M2 more than the current M3/M4.

I agree^

Just seems too long, sine we've have a proper/quint style car.
E46 is the last pure M, & the piecemeal 1M is still the mark.

I have high hopes for this M2, because it apt to be a purist's car.
The reason I picked up a 135is, instead of the M235i.. I like the input from hydraulic & can't wait to see how the e-stuff is tuned for the M2.

I bet they offer many trip/levels of this M2. And I do hope they offer an upgradable chassis, to something like what Caddy/Vette have, plz..
I love a taut suspension as much as the next guy, but it nice to be able to turn that into a cush ride and sink into comfort on a long trip, etc.

Anyone with a pulse... wants to strap into a M235i R and rage.
The M2 will be this, with multiple levels of nannies.. so us retards don't kill ourselves.
The off switch is there.. but that's best left for the track.

*It also should be 3,350lbs.. and offered w/CF roof & driveshaft, (trunk, & quarter panels?). I hope they allow for some WIDE front tires.
