I don’t think anyone bashed it, just told it like it is.
The RE71R is a pointlessly loud, harsh, and obnoxious tire for the street, where you rarely need more dry grip than a 4S, and the Michelin is much safer in the rain and lower temps.
However, the RE71R is a killer tire for the track. Good longevity for the amount of dry grip you get, more grip in light rain than the 4S, but can get a little sketchy in heavy rain.
