Track Pad knock - PFC08

I'm running PFC08s on all four corners and have had no issues thus far on track - good initial bight and excellent modulation. Other than lots of break dust and squeal, these have been great.

My question is: Is it normal to hear/feel the pads knock into place whenever changing direction from forward to reverse? For instance, they knock into place whenever I apply the brakes after having just previously reversed the car and knock into place while reversing and applying brakes after having gone forward previously.

I assume this is normal and a non-issue but just wanted to check the collective wisdom here. A buddy running these pads on an E92 M3 noticed the sound and said that he doesn't get the same phenomenon - although I understand his car has a different caliper design. Thanks.
