There's a group in Cincinnati, I think it's Enthusiast Auto Group or something close to that - they specialize in well-kept BMWs and always have a few.
Good place to look @ a well kept E46 M3 or E92 as well. But they're pricey.
Last time I looked, as I would love to buy my dad one someday, the nicer Z4MCs were running in the ~35K range.
