I think all cars are going to be connected with their makers and that everything we do is going to be monitored. Sooner rather than later.
The simple fact of the matter is that it will only happen if people dont make a stink to BMW and other manufacturers as well as Gov

Furthermore it only reinforces the fact that the more bullshit BMW pulls the less likely I am to allow their service dept to touch my car.....and if this BS escalates then I wont buy their products in the future.
