Points taken but the m2 is actually significantly wider (it's basically as wide as the corvette). Also slighter longer wheelbase and is slightly heavier than the 1m. It does have supposedly a much better electric diff actually so I shudder think how hard it is to put down power with the 1m cause the m2 is pretty tough.

Besides all that I'll point out that it also has some pretty different gearing than the 1m. On short tires the DCT trans tops out at just 57mph in second and this means having to shift to third on any/every course. While one might say shifting is free with the auto it's still something to think about and the thrust in third isn't much of an advantage all of a sudden. I believe the manual gives 7mph more but on 'real' courses and even staying on big 19s (this will limit front tire width before rubbing) it may still be annoying. I know the Cayman currently tops out at 68 and I've hit the limiter plenty...with no where near the thrust of the BMW.
