exactly. the BMW website does no justice for this in their rather lacking description. downloading the app won't get you far as you have to connect to the dongle to do much other than measure G-Forces you can apply to your phone by swinging your hand around (up to 1.1 G  )
$265 isn't too bad, but would rather not spend it if it isn't worth it..
