The issue is the silver portion of the wheel is raw polished metal with just a clear coat. If it was a typical alloy wheel with a base coat and clear coat the repair is easy and includes sanding down the rash, adding bondo or similar filler, priming, painting and clearing. Repairs on these types of wheels are flawless if done correctly.

The above process is obviously not possible with the bare metal edge of diamond cut wheels.

The fix that most places recommend if you want all 4 wheels to match is to paint the silver bare metal portion with a grey base coat and then clear it.
