no, they're always closed, and stay that way until you use the remote to open them.
my problem is that they keep closing on their own. the instructions say the ONLY two scenarios where they close are 1. if you turn your car off, and 2. if you use the remote to tell them to close.
since I can't rely on the stupid valves to stay open during a cruise, I just open the valves with the remote, pop the trunk, pull up the trunk liner, then unplug the connector from the exhaust valve control unit. valves stay permanently open. (until I'm back to commuting to work when I plug it back in so i don't go deaf) |
Did you ever figure out why your valves were randomly closing. I'm experiencing the same issue with mine.
