10mm spacers either lack a hubcentric ring or are slightly wider than 10mm with a compromised chamfer design to support the hubcentric ring. A true 10mm spacer has no room for a hubcentric ring without a large chamfer to provide the strength needed for the ring. Those chamfers have to be mirrored on the inner mounting face of the wheel and because they are oversized would reduce the engagement of the wheels on the hubcentric ring/OE hub for anyone not using a 10mm spacer. Some 10mm spacers on the market have a chamfer large enough to prevent the wheel from fully seating against the rotor mounting pad which can lead to premature hardware failure.

12mm spacers provide enough material to let us incorporate a moderate chamfer and fully support all of our wheels without compromises.
