So this was fun. 2016 M2 DCt with 40500 miles, just plain old commuting back into Edinburgh and I hear a twang. No other sounds so carried on at about 70mph on an A-road for about 15mins.

Thought I'd run over a plastic bottle or something, but when I got out the car having parked up and saw drivers rear looked somewhat tucked. I'm running standard suspension, so this caught my eye.

Turns out the coil snapped clean through. Didn't hit a pothole or anything, but has anyone else had a coil failure? Probably, I'd guess....

Fix was straight forward, ordered a pair of rear springs and digested YouTube instructions. Took about 1.5hrs in my single garage with most of the time getting the nuts undone. Made sure to double mark the camber bolt too.
