Yeah last December when I ordered the car the M2 was not part of the discount, and a search at the time revealed that many people were in the same boat. The following site by BMW NA also supports my dealer..

This is irrelevant to Canada. BMW NA and BMW CAN are separate entities, so no info from the US applies.
The M2 was and still is definitely eligible for the ED discount, just ask all the folks that went on the various M Tours over the last two years. Hell, the latest one was just this past September.
