You are very late to the party on this. Look around and see what other manufacturers are doing. They are all going to turbo motors for the same reason.
Buick. FORD ( note that even their trucks are using turbo Sixes now!), Ferrarri California and 458 are going twin turbo... , the next Porsche boxster will be a turbo.... Etc.

Turbo motors are more fuel efficient and can produce more power with less emissions than an NA Motor. Reduced emissions and better fuel economy is the ENTIRE reason that BMW began producing an N55 vs the N54..
